Galaxy Adventure

11x17 digital painting of the Silver Surfer exploring the galaxies. For this piece I played a lot on color, gradient and value to show the vastness of space and the adventure of discovering beautiful galaxies and more. The Surfer goes on an adventure outside of helping the heroes to find new galaxies as he gracefully flies with his trusty surfboard at beyond lightspeed. As of now, I can see I got inspiration from this movie called Over the Moon. In it, there's this distinct art style I fell in love with. It has bright neon colors with a black backdrop being space and it just stands out to me. For the Surfer to stand out more in the dark void of space different colors were used to flesh out the contrast of the coolness of the lone moons to the bright beauty of the galaxies encapsulating this fun galaxy adventure.
