The Gladiator protects Earth

11x17 digital painting of the underrated Gladiator. A mix of comic style for the character and painterly for the background. I sought to display the power of this character joined with the vastness of space and the many intricacies of it. Earth is set behind him as he decides to help protect Earth from the threats of space. His confidence being his valuable ally or his greatest weakness, Gladiator takes a flight to meet the new threat against the cosmic forces of darkness.
